Interconnection was designed as interior architecture graduate project. The Government House of Nevşehir serves the current governor, İnci Sezer Becel. Governor Becel, who has one child, is actively involved in women's rights and frequently gives related conferences. She is also passionate about art, particularly stonework. Consequently, the house includes a dedicated hobby area and a library where she conducts her research.
Design Concept
We aim to create an interconnection between public and private spaces, despite their clear division. A central staircase serves both public and private areas, reflecting the natural formations of Nevşehir’s underground cities and caves. This design element highlights the shared spaces between public and private interactions.
Art Initiatives
To promote art in Nevşehir, we are organizing stonework art competitions. The winning pieces will be displayed on the Art Wall of the Governor's House, symbolizing that art is an integral part of the nation's history.
Culinary Experience
The kitchen, designed for gatherings and conferences, will feature traditional Nevşehir cuisine, enriching the cultural experience for visitors.
